There is a myth that rain keeps solar panels clean. It helps, but it does not do the job, and it does nothing for the grime that builds up along the bottom edge of each panel where water runs off. How often should you clean them?
For most homes, once a year is plenty. If you are near trees, farmland or the coast, or you have noticed green growth creeping up the frames, twice a year keeps them working at their best.
