Roof cleaning and moss removal, soft washed
Moss and algae make a roof look tired and can hold damp against the tiles. My gentle soft-wash clears it away safely, at low pressure, and I never jet wash a roof.
AfterBefore

Gentle on the tiles, tough on the moss
Blasting a roof with high pressure can crack tiles and strip their coating. I use a low-pressure soft-wash and the right treatments to lift moss, algae and lichen without damage, so your roof looks years younger and stays protected.
- Low-pressure soft-wash, safe on tiles and coatings
- Moss, algae and black lichen lifted away
- Biocide treatment to slow regrowth
- Priced by the roof, confirmed from photos
Soft wash only, never a jet wash
Pressure can crack tiles and strip their coating, so I do not do it: a soft wash lets the treatment do the work and the moss comes away without damage. The moss does grow back slowly over time, which is why the treatment matters. My guide on what roof moss removal costs, and why it comes back goes through it in detail.

Roof & Moss Removal FAQs
Is soft washing safe for my roof?
Yes. Soft washing uses low pressure and the correct treatments, so it clears moss and algae without cracking tiles or stripping their coating the way jet washing can.
Will the moss come back?
It grows back slowly over time. I can apply a treatment that keeps roofs cleaner for much longer.
Do you clean conservatory roofs as well?
Yes, on their own page: conservatory roof cleaning, from £60.
How much is roof cleaning?
Full roof soft-washing starts from around £250 for a bungalow or terraced house, from £350 for a semi and from £500 for a detached roof, confirmed from photos.
